Something's not quite right with this PV...
Can you guess what it is?
Can't wait to see this PV in full.
And they've said that there will be no PV. AHA! YOU LYING BITCHES!!!!!
But then again this isn't a actual PV, just the live performance of Brilliant from one of their recent lives mixed up with the CD version of Brilliant. LAZY BITCHEZZZZZZ!!!! In their almost ten years of existence they've released like what 6 PV's but each was a true little masterpiece for itself so this 5-minute edit feels as made just sio that the guys would get some screentime on TV. And I already had imagined the PV to be all flashy, like trickstar but with some broken glass, lotsa light effects and our boys looking as fierce as ever...
Oh well....
To the not so brillant PV for Brilliant.
And the PV BRILLIANT is pretty much like that, minus Hizumi strip and Karyu amp-rape. The light effects are as usual blue tone, but a bit more dynamic with red, white and even yellowish jumps. Hey at least we can see them!
But yeah it is always nice to see our D'espaBoys (Wait, is it ok to call men-over-thirty boys? or DespaMen?) rocking and being cool at it. I've noticed that the guys aren't having their BRILLANT promotion outfits but still they have nice clothes. Especially Karyu who looks like a schoolboy :3.
Probably the most funny part of the PV is the enthusiastic hand waving of the crowd. CAN'T YOU SEE THEIR PASSION AND DEVOTION?????!!!!! Man I love when the crowd is obviously bored and the band pretends like it isn't so. Soo cute.
Simply Brilliant XD!
If you want to watch the PV you have to click the link for it on youtube, because the author has disabled embedding of this video on other sites.
The GazettE brought out a new PV yesterday. It is the PV for their upcoming single Guren.
Now at this spot I thought that this PV would actually be more than ideal for the song Filth in the Beauty. Everybody knows the pretty obvious allusions on Guren, white jam etc... in the incest themed song Filth in the Beauty. So it might just be me, but the allusions in this PV are also pretty obvious.
She sticks her hand into the liquid and paints the crimson walls white. Little by little the walls are being covered in white. And that is when our beloved band joins in
But not just the set and the guys are fascinating. The camera and PV direction is simply stunning and captures the mood of the song perfectly. The complex focus, focusing only on the details while everything is being lost in a soft blur, is one of the best I have ever seen in a PV. Just look at the wound like markings on Ruki's neck and the beautiful (Gemcerey, they have to promote their jewelry) details on the rings. Really fascinating.
Ruki, of course, couldn't resist not to put some really hot fanservice in the PV. The microphone licking thing is nothing new in Visual kei but it is really one of the memorable moments in the GazettE PV's.
Overall this is one of the best PV's of the GazettE ever. For me, only Taion is better but that is also due to the amazing quality of the song. But Guren is not so much behind. The guys have even mentioned that Guren will be something like Taion and Chizuru. The song does have the emotions from Chizuru, although the approach is a bit different, but the PV has got the atmosphere and spirit of Taion, what I'm glad of.
Guren is a great song with feelings, not that it is emotional or something, but that it awakes felling inside the listener. It is one of the songs you hear and drown in because it says so much more than it seems. It is a song with depth and I am glad GazettE managed to do such a song. My faith for them has been restored after it was shaken by the mere shallowness of the STACKED RUBBISH's songs.
Rare are such PV's that capture the spirit of the song so well as Guren. This PV is a must see not only because of the PV itself, but also because of the beautiful, almost transcendental song. Guren has already proven it's quality as a song and I hope that the remaining two songs from the Auditory Impression of the single won't ruin that. To shorten the waiting or the single, enjoy this PV masterpiece.
Track list
1. 断頭台は誰が為に揺れる (Datoudai wa ta ga tame ni yureru) [PV]
2. 抱いて眠れ絶望 (Idaite nemure zetsubou)
3. 夢は瓦礫の中に (Yume wa gareki no naka ni)
4. day after day [PV]
Byakuya ni moyuru hana ~Nanji, ware ha zennou no mono nari~ is the 3rd single by Dio and the 3rd part of the single series Byakuya ni moyuru hana.
If you'd heard the last two singles then you would notice what a talented band Dio is. The two previous singles blown me away with brilliant songs that were a combination of hard and melodic rock.
Unfortunately, the third single isn't that brilliant as the previous two. It is a good single overall, but not as mind blowing as the other singles. Datoudai wa ta ga tame ni yureru is pure chaos in every way: violent riffs, screaming, shouting, high speed beat... But the mysterious and rather strange chanting and a bit oriental taste do make this song sounf overall interesting.
Idaite nemure zetsubou has got some pretty interesting riffs, but it does seem a bit misty, without any highlights and bad production which dims a lot the vocalists Mikaru's excellent voice. The single does suffer a bit from bad production and acoustics.
Yume wa gareki no naka ni is in the same manner as the song Last Dance from the previous single and only the song day after day manages to hold up with the quality of the former singles with it's great guitar riffs, melody and singing.
This single is more of a question of taste. I'm not disappointed a lot, but it all could have been better. But still, this single is worth checking out, especially if you are a fan of harder J-rock sound.
After several months of waiting finally the talented band alice nine. released a new single and , of course, an appropriate PV to announce it.
Is it just my impression or PS Company is gradually increasing the budgets for PVs? Just look at the last several PVs that PS Company bands released. the GazettE had BURIAL APPLICANT which was almost as a short movie, the newcomer band SuG had two impressive PVs for an indie band which was just formed and now alice nine. with their almost full CG PV TSUBASA.
The song as well as the outfits of the band remind me a lot on the period Ikouku no Chandelier. Alice nine. guys look like some noblemen and the song reminds a bit on Ikouku no Chandelier, but in combination with the recent alice nine. releases
My greatest complaint to this PV (asides from Tora's showing off) is the fact that the PV is a bit too monotone. While I was watching it for the second time I thought it will be over in 4 minutes and when I saw that I still had one minute to go I thought "Damn, guys this could have been more interesting!". But nevertheless the excellent song and good looking guys are what keep you seated.
Without a doubt, alice nine. are getting better with every new release and PV. I can't wait for the new PV from the B-side song of the single TSUBASA to be released.
I think the preview speaks enough for itself and spares me the work of announcing the soon release of the 3rd album by this very talented and my personal favorite band.
But that can change right? Maybe it'll end up being my favorite song on the album.
As far as I know the PV will be released on Wednesday 20.6.2007. Then check here for the full review.
I wonder what other surprises have the GazettE prepared for us.
Finnaly after long waiting the PV to the song 千鶴 (Chizuru or maybe more correct Chidzuru) is here. The PV I saw is the Apartment movie version
Since the PV contains scenes from the movie Apartment which are really horrifying (Example: A girl cutting her back with a scalpel, a scene in which someone twistes and brakes someone else's middle finger, images of corpses etc...) I wouldn't recommend it to people who have weak nerves or who get scared easily.
Better to wait for the normal version of the PV to come out.
Everybody else will enjoy the GazettE men in their most mature edition. They all look great in suits and the scenery is also very atmospheric. Just a thing I have noticed is that they all appear a bit tired like they haven't slept all night. That's what happends when you make a PV early in the morning
But being tired doesn't stop the GazettE guys to look good. They somehow look like male models on this PV all dressed up in suits. Ruki is wearing his funny little hat, Reita is now all blond, Aoi looks all serious, Uruha is now red hairedAll in all I am pleased with the PV even if I hadn't imagine it to be like this. The setting and the mood of the PV really fits the song well. In a way the emotions in the PV somehow remind me of Taion. What else to say with every PV the GazettE are getting better and better.
If you have time check out the PV because it is the most mature PV of the GazettE that I have ever seen. And on top of that Chizuru is a beautiful, hard, moving song that the more you listen to it the more you love it.
Some might be disappointed with the fact that you won't see anything spectacular in the PV but yet this PV is primary all about the emotions of the song. Watch it , listen to it and let it take your thought and feeling on a different place.
